Frank Proudlock is an Associate Professor at the University of Leicester, affiliated with the School of Psychology and Vision Sciences. His research focuses on normal eye development, visual developmental diseases, and improving diagnostic imaging techniques such as optical coherence tomography. He also investigates how visual diseases impact daily life functions like reading and explores the visual pathway in developmental disorders.
With a background in neuroscience and bioengineering, he collaborates on clinical trials and provides technical expertise in eye movement recordings. Proudlock contributes to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in both basic and clinical sciences. He holds administrative roles, including postgraduate tutor for the department.
He has co-authored six book chapters and serves as a scientific adviser for the Nystagmus Network UK. His work integrates clinical and technical advancements to enhance understanding and management of visual disorders.
