Florian Tomini is a Lecturer in Health Economics at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH), Queen Mary University of London. He leads health economic work in the Blood Transfusion Research Unit - Data Driven Transfusion Practice, as well as clinical trials and research projects. Affiliated with the Centre for Primary Care and Public Health and the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit at QMUL, he previously held research fellow and lecturer positions at University College London, University of Amsterdam, and Maastricht University.

- MSc in Social Protection Financing, Maastricht University
- MSc in Economics and Management, University of Tirana
His research focuses on health economic evaluations, health technology assessment, health policy analysis, micro-econometric analysis, and healthcare financing. Recent publications address cost-effectiveness modeling in cardiology, resource allocation in geriatric populations, and evidence synthesis for clinical interventions.
He serves as convener for the Asthma UK-CAR methodology group and advises the Research Design Service (RDS) London and NIHR Research Support Service (RSS). His expertise has been sought by NICE, WHO, and The World Bank for health and social policy matters.
