Dr. Runguo Wu is a Senior Health Economist at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), since 2019. He collaborates with Professor Mihaylova and teams at QMUL and Oxford on long-term cardiovascular disease modeling using clinical trials and population cohort data, alongside economic evaluations of healthcare interventions. His research focuses on disease modeling (cardiovascular disease and cancer), cost-effectiveness analysis, and health inequity.
Education includes a PhD in public health policy (University of Edinburgh), MSc by Research in public health policy (Edinburgh), BSc in Biotechnology and MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience (Beijing Normal University).
He previously conducted doctoral research on health financing and utilization inequalities using multilevel and longitudinal data at the University of Edinburgh. He is affiliated with the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit and contributes to QMUL’s research initiatives.
