Florian Reichmann

Florian Reichmann is a researcher at the Medical University of Graz, affiliated with the Otto Loewi Research Center and the Division of Pharmacology. He co-leads a multidisciplinary team investigating the complex communication pathways between the gut microbiome and the brain, focusing on their relevance to digestion, brain function, and pathological behavioral changes.

• MetAGE: Metabolic control of aging and disease (2024–2029), funded by FWF and Medical University of Graz
• Environmental modulation of the microbiota-gut-brain axis (2022–2026), funded by FWF
• Genetic/environmental factors in zebrafish aggression (2017–2025), funded by FWF and others
• Collaborations with international groups at University of Graz, Joanneum Research (Austria), University College Cork (Ireland), Garvan Institute (Australia), and University of Leicester (UK)
