Fiona Switzer

Fiona Switzer is an Honorary Lecturer in the Nursing Division at Queen Margaret University. She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 25 years of clinical experience in NHS settings, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), substance misuse, and mental health. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT from the University of Dundee (2001) and an MSc by Research from Queen Margaret University (2019). Currently, she serves as a Senior Tutor on the South of Scotland Master’s in CBT and a CBT Nurse Therapist in Edinburgh’s Psychological Therapies services, focusing on complex trauma and psychosis. Her research explores barriers to CBT implementation for psychosis, with publications in peer-reviewed journals like Mental Health Review Journal and Psychosis.
