معرفی
Professor Fiona Gribble is a Principal Investigator at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the School of Clinical Medicine through her roles as Professor of Endocrine Physiology and Director of Graduate Education. She co-leads a joint laboratory with Professor Frank Reimann at the Institute of Metabolic Science - Metabolic Research Laboratories, focusing on gut hormones like GLP-1 and GIP, which are critical to diabetes and obesity therapies. Her research spans molecular signaling in enteroendocrine cells to human physiological studies.
- Key affiliations: MRC Metabolic Diseases Unit, Wellcome Discovery Research Platform
Research Interests:
The lab investigates pathways for gut hormone secretion (e.g., GLP-1, GIP) using transcriptomics, mass spectrometry peptidomics, live cell imaging, and murine models. Their work connects gut-brain communication to metabolic disorders, targeting drug development for diabetes, obesity, and gastrointestinal conditions. Recent projects include studying gut bitter taste receptors in paracrine signaling.
