Dr. Femke de Jong is a Senior Scientist at the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) working in the Ocean Systems department. Her research focuses on physical oceanography, particularly the dynamics of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), deep convection processes, and freshwater transport mechanisms in the North Atlantic Subpolar Gyre.
