Felicity Gee is an Associate Professor in Modern Literatures and Avant-Garde Studies at the Department of English and Creative Writing, University of Exeter. Her research investigates intersections between critical theory, world modernisms, and avant-garde literature, film, and art, with particular focus on feminist and queer activism, affect theory, and social protest.

Her work spans modernism, surrealism, magic realism, and critical women's writing, emphasizing phenomenological readings of political dynamics through affect theory. She is inspired by figures like Simone Weil, Anaïs Nin, and Yayoi Kusama.
Professional roles include serving as President of the International Society for the Study of Surrealism (ISSS) and editorial board member for the International Journal of Surrealism (ISJ). She also collaborates with the University of Exeter's Centre for Magic and Esotericism.
