Gerd Karin Omdal

Gerd Karin Omdal is an Associate Professor of Nordic Literature at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), affiliated with the Department of Language and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities. She specializes in avant-garde literature, feminist theory, surrealism, and 18th-century literary criticism. Her research spans Nordic literature, Gothic studies, and multicultural poetics, with a focus on gender, intertextuality, and cultural hybridity. She teaches courses such as NORD3103 (Specialization in Nordic Literature) and actively contributes to public lectures and cultural events.
