Fay Mentzer is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Purdue University's College of Education. Her work focuses on critical literacy, cultural responsiveness, and children's literature analysis. She is completing her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Literacy and Language Education (expected 2024), following an M.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Montana (2005) and a B.S. in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Education minor from Shippensburg University (1996).
