Fatima Abdulsalam is a Research Fellow at the Malaysia Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University. Her work focuses on the intersection of climate change and infectious diseases, particularly dengue fever and mosquito-borne illnesses. She holds a PhD in Public Health from Walailak University, an MPH from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and advanced degrees in Microbiology from institutions in Nigeria and India.

Her research interests include spatial epidemiology, climate variability impacts on disease spread, and community health development. Notable projects include dengue risk modeling in Thailand using Bayesian approaches and studies on heat effects of climate change.
She has held roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Kasetsart University, Teaching Assistant at Walailak University, and College Lecturer in Nigeria. Her work emphasizes actionable local solutions to global health challenges.
