Farhad Shokraneh is a part-time Post-doctoral Research Associate at the Palliative & End of Life Care Group in Cambridge (PELiCam) within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge. He concurrently serves as Evidence Synthesis Manager at the University of Oxford, Senior Research Associate in Information Science at the University of Bristol, and Director of Systematic Review Consultants LTD.
His research specializes in evidence synthesis methodologies, with emphases on:
- Automation of systematic reviews and living evidence maps
- Reproducibility of search strategies in evidence synthesis
- Machine learning applications for screening records without abstracts
- User experience optimization in healthcare information systems
- Realist review frameworks for palliative care interventions
Shokraneh leads Marie Curie-funded projects including the IMPCOM systematic review and realist reviews on breathlessness care. He actively disseminates knowledge through his Medium blog, focusing on practical systematic review techniques and career development in evidence synthesis. He contributes to the Palliative and End of Life Care Group in Cambridge (PELiCam) and engages with professional communities like the BCS Information Retrieval Specialist Group.
