معرفی
Dr. F. Bradley Johnson is a Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on telomere biology, aging, and cancer. His research integrates molecular genetics, bioinformatics, and clinical specimen analysis to unravel mechanisms of genome stability.
- Education:
- B.S., Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry, Yale University (1987)
- M.D. & Ph.D., Biochemistry, Stanford University (1995)
- Postdoctoral Research, Aging Biology, MIT (2001)
Research Interests center on telomere maintenance, Werner syndrome, G-quadruplexes, and their roles in neurodegeneration and transplantation. His lab investigates how telomere dysfunction drives premature aging and cancer using yeast, mice, and human clinical samples.
Publications span telomere dynamics, G-quadruplex biology, and transplantation immunobiology. Recent work includes studies on telomere repair pathways, stem cell niches, and epigenetic regulators in aging.
Awards include multiple NIH grants, Paul E. Strandjord Young Investigator Awards, and Dorothy Dillon Eweson Lectureships. He chairs NIH review panels and advises graduate students in cancer biology.
