Dr. Ezinne Igbokwe is a Lecturer at the University of Sheffield's School of Law, where she specializes in Intellectual Property Law, Data Governance, and AI-law intersections. She holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham, an LLM from the Catholic University of Lyon, and is a qualified barrister/solicitor in Nigeria.
Her research explores pharmaceutical patents and access to medicines, data privacy frameworks, and regulatory challenges in AI innovation. She co-leads projects on COVID-19 recovery and AI-law intersections, funded by the Society of Legal Scholars.
Her publications analyze TRIPS Agreement implementations, AI inventorship, and compulsory licensing, reflecting a consistent focus on equity in global IP systems. She is affiliated with the Sheffield Institute of Corporate and Commercial Law (SICCL).
