Dr Elimma Ezeani is a Senior Lecturer in Commercial and Private Law at Brunel Law School, within Brunel University’s College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching, administration, and research in UK higher education, specializing in corporate governance, international trade, and interdisciplinary legal research with societal impact.

Her research focuses on corporate/commercial law, trade and development, international economic law, and governance, with over 50 publications addressing de-globalization, sustainable development, and human rights. She led the cross-disciplinary project Adapting to a Changing World (2021–2022), using online seminars to explore post-COVID recovery, Brexit, and AI in agriculture. Her teaching emphasizes transformative learning, preparing students for post-graduation challenges through both theory and practice.
Dr Ezeani supervises PhD students in areas including energy law, corporate responsibility, and sustainability. She previously served as Postgraduate Course Leader at Robert Gordon University, coordinating international commercial law and trade programs, and has taught company law, public international law, and compliance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her work has been disseminated through journals like African Journal of Legal Studies and Journal of World Energy Law and Business.
As a member of Brunel’s Athena Swan committee and Law School Health & Safety Representative, she contributes to institutional equity and safety initiatives. Her publications highlight interdisciplinary trends in trade policy, corporate governance, and legal education, with a focus on real-world applicability.
