Evan Usler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of Delaware's College of Health Sciences. His research focuses on understanding fluency in speech production and disorders such as stuttering and cluttering through neurophysiological and behavioral approaches.

Dr. Usler's research centers on the neurophysiology of speech production, examining how cognitive, linguistic, and motoric factors interact to create fluent speech. He investigates motor speech disorders including stuttering and cluttering, with particular focus on speech rhythm, oromotor development, and the role of emotion and cognition. His work employs electrophysiological (EEG/fMRI), acoustic, kinematic, and computational methods to analyze speech behavior at multiple levels including brain function, articulatory movement, and acoustic output.
