Bridget Walsh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders at Michigan State University. She is a certified speech-language pathologist and serves as Director of Undergraduate Studies, while leading the Developmental Speech Laboratory in the Communication Arts and Sciences building.
- Educational background: B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience from Purdue University.
Dr. Walsh's research focuses on the neurophysiological, clinical, and behavioral mechanisms underlying stuttering development in children. Her work explores why some children recover from stuttering while others persist, examining emotional reactivity, articulatory characteristics, and autonomic nervous system activity in stuttering and dysarthria.
