معرفی
Dr. Evan Healy is a Research Fellow in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Monash University, where he holds positions as an ARC DECRA Fellow and NHMRC Investigator. His research focuses on chromatin regulation and the role of RNA in epigenetic processes, with implications for cancer and neurodevelopmental disorders. He completed his PhD at Trinity College Dublin, studying Polycomb Repressive Complex (PRC) machinery.
Education: PhD in Genetics (2015–2019), Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
Research Interests: Chromatin biology, epigenetics, transcriptional regulation, and RNA’s role in gene regulation. His work explores how chromatin regulators modulate RNA to maintain cellular identity and combat diseases like cancer.
Recent Trends in Publications: Evan’s articles highlight RNA’s critical role in chromatin interactions, PRC complex dynamics, and epigenetic mechanisms. Recent studies address PRC2 occupancy artifacts, EZH2’s dual RNA/chromatin functions, and PRC1/PRC2 subtype coordination.
- Awards: ARC DECRA Fellowship (2021–2025), NHMRC Investigator (current).
Advising & Grants: Accepting PhD students. Leads projects like ‘How does RNA regulate gene repression?’ (2025–2029).
