Eva Montero Ibarra is a DPhil candidate in Law at the University of Oxford's St Peter’s College, supervised by Nick Barber. She is concurrently a Lecturer in Constitutional Law at St Peter's College, St Catherine's College (University of Oxford), and European Union Law at University College London (UCL). She founded and convenes the Constitutional Law and Theory Discussion Group. Her research focuses on the regulation and constitutional role of civil society in competitive authoritarian regimes. She holds a Magister Juris from St Hilda's College (Oxford), funded by the 'La Caixa' and Ramón Areces Foundations. Previously, she was awarded the ‘Premio Extraordinario de Fin de Estudios’ and the VIII Julio Bancloche Award for academic excellence during her undergraduate studies at the University of Seville, where she ranked first in her cohort.
