Barbara Havelkova is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Law and a Tutorial Fellow at St Hilda's College. She holds degrees from Charles University (Mgr), Saarland University (LLM), and Oxford (MSt, DPhil). Her research focuses on gender legal studies, feminist jurisprudence, anti-discrimination law, constitutional law, and EU law, with an emphasis on post-socialist legal transitions. She advises Oxford's Feminist Jurisprudence Discussion Group and teaches courses including Feminist Perspectives on the Law.

Research Interests: Barbara's work explores intersections of gender, law, and equality in post-socialist contexts. Key themes include feminist critiques of legal neutrality, EU anti-discrimination frameworks, and the legacy of state socialism on Czech legal systems. She has authored/co-authored monographs and edited volumes addressing equality in remuneration, prostitution policy, and judicial gender segregation.
