Erin R. Archerd

Erin R. Archerd serves as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Law at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School (2008) and B.A. from Stanford University (2004).

Her research examines:

• Alternative dispute resolution ethics
• Commercial contract conflicts
• Education law frameworks
• Latino legal policy issues

Recent scholarship analyzes safety considerations in online mediation systems and contractual conflicts in craft brewing distribution networks. Her work received recognition including CPR Outstanding Book Award (2021).

Archerd chairs the State Bar of Michigan ADR Section and advises the Hispanic and Latinx Law Students Association. She teaches courses in mediation, contracts, and legal negotiation.
