Monalisa Odibo-Ewemade

Dr. Monalisa Odibo-Ewemade is a Visiting Fellow in International Commercial Mediation and Lecturer of Law at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), with roles spanning UCLan Cyprus and UCLan UK. She leads the Centre for Mediation at UCLan UK and holds academic qualifications including a PhD in Law (Alternative Dispute Resolution) from Bangor University. Her teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on Contract Law, ADR, and International Commercial Mediation. She has held roles as LLM Course Leader in Mauritius (2018–2019) and has been a Trustee for organizations like the Citizens Advice Bureau. Her research interests include International Commercial Law, ADR methods, and conflict management. Awards include the Student Led Teaching Award (2014) and Bangor Employability Award (2016). She is a member of the Civil Mediation Council and Nigerian Bar Association. Her work emphasizes mediation's role in bridging legal, community, and workplace disputes, with contributions to ADR policy and practice globally, particularly in African contexts.
