Erin Blaugrund is a Professor of Marketing in the College of Business at New Mexico State University (NMSU). She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing with minors in Management & Psychology from the University of Mississippi (2000), an MBA in Marketing from NMSU (1993), and a BBA in Marketing from NMSU (1991). Her expertise spans consumer behavior, business ethics, and sales strategy, with notable research on direct-to-consumer advertising impacts and ethical challenges in small businesses.
Her scholarly work includes peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of Consumer Marketing and Journal of Business Ethics, as well as a forthcoming book chapter on genetically modified food labeling. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses such as Principles of Marketing, Retail Management, Social Media Marketing, and Marketing Management in the MBA program.
Dr. Blaugrund’s research explores intersections between consumer psychology, ethical dilemmas in business practices, and modern marketing strategies. Her recent submissions address deviant behavior in sales roles and the cognitive effects of food labeling on consumer choices.
