Erika Adam

Prof. Dr. Erika Adam is a Professor of Biblical Theology and Theological Ethics at Katholische Hochschule Freiburg since 2001. She previously served as a hospital chaplain at the University Hospitals of Heidelberg and Augsburg, an education officer at Haus Tobias, and a pastoral assistant in the Diocese of Augsburg. Her research focuses on Biblical Theology (Old and New Testament), Applied Ethics in healthcare, pastoral psychology, and ethics for leadership roles. She led the MA in Applied Ethics in Health and Social Care (2007–2020) and the BA in Applied Theology and Religious Education (2017–2023).

Her further training includes specialization in pastoral counseling (DGfP/KSA), NLP Master Practitioner certification, and social management at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Munich. She also engages in spiritual care for leaders and volunteers in death and bereavement support.
