Franco Manzi

Franco Manzi (born 1966), a priest of the Diocese of Milan, is a Full Professor at the Archiepiscopal Seminary of Milan and affiliated with the Faculty of Theology of Northern Italy and the University of Italian Switzerland (USI). He specializes in biblical exegesis, theology, and religious education, with a focus on New Testament studies and Mariology.

His research spans eschatology, Pauline literature, Qumran studies, Mariology, biblical archaeology, and systematic theology. He has authored approximately fifty books and contributes to journals on biblical exegesis, theology, liturgy, and pastoral care.

As an esteemed academic, he served as Section Director of the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy (2012-2020) and was appointed a Consultor to the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith by Pope Francis in 2024. He also holds the role of Ecclesiastical Censor of the Diocese of Milan since 2006.
