Giorgio Paximadi

Giorgio Paximadi is a Full Professor of Old Testament Exegesis at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Italian Switzerland. He holds a Licentiate in Theology from the University of Fribourg and a Doctorate from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome.

His research focuses on Old Testament exegesis, Hebrew linguistics, Septuagint studies, and rhetorical analysis of biblical texts. He has published extensively on Leviticus, Exodus, and Psalms, examining textual structures and their theological implications.

His recent publications (2019-2023) explore topics such as Levitical zoological classifications, divine wrath in biblical theology, and textual variations in Septuagint manuscripts. These works span fields including Hebrew Bible studies, textual criticism, and comparative religious practices.
