Erik Rooman

Erik Rooman is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Engineering Leadership and Program Management (ELPM) at The Citadel's School of Engineering. He joined The Citadel faculty in November 2008. His expertise spans Project Management, Risk Management, and Enterprise Risk Management implementation. He holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Excelsior College and an M.S. in Project Management from The Citadel. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP), and Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP). Currently, he serves as a Project Management Supervisor and Command Risk Manager at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR) Atlantic.

• BSE in Nuclear Engineering – Excelsior College

Research interests include the integration of Enterprise Risk Management within organizational frameworks. His professional experience spans the U.S. Navy (as a Nuclear Engineer and Instructor), construction, legal sectors, and education. He is pursuing a PhD in Project Management focused on Enterprise Risk Management.

Professional Roles: In addition to academia, he oversees risk management at SPAWAR Atlantic and has led projects in diverse industries including construction and manufacturing.
