Dr. Eric P. Prostko serves as a Professor and Extension Weed Specialist within the Department of Crop & Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, holding a 100% extension appointment since joining the institution in 1999. His statewide responsibilities encompass weed science programs for seven major field crops:

- Soybean
- Grain sorghum
- Sunflower
- Canola
- Sesame
His research focuses on developing practical weed management solutions for agronomic systems, emphasizing sustainable control strategies that balance efficacy with environmental stewardship.
