Albert Adjesiwor is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Idaho's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. His research focuses on sustainable weed management strategies in agronomic crops including sugarbeet, dry beans, corn, and small grains.
Research interests include:
- Identification of weed-suppressive cover crops and optimal management timing
- Integrated weed management approaches to combat herbicide resistance
- Plant growth regulators for weed control
- Development of collaborative research programs with growers and commodity groups
His recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on optimizing weed control strategies through herbicide efficacy studies, cover crop systems, and physiological investigations of crop-weed interactions. Research spans herbicide alternatives, drought stress adaptations, and economic analyses of weed management practices.
Extension activities involve communicating best practices in weed management to agricultural stakeholders throughout the Pacific Northwest region.
