Eric A Sobie

Eric A Sobie is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacological Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His research focuses on integrating mathematical modeling and experimental techniques to understand cardiac dysfunction and arrhythmias. He leads the Sobie Laboratory, which investigates calcium signaling, electrophysiology, and systems biology approaches to study heart failure and drug-induced arrhythmias. He holds a BSE from Duke University, a PhD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Maryland. Dr. Sobie has received the Dr. Harold and Golden Lamport Research Award and leads NIH-funded projects on cardiac calcium dynamics and multi-scale modeling. His lab combines experimental data with computational simulations to advance translational cardiology research.
