معرفی
Eduardo Marban is a Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Medicine and Physiology at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), School of Medicine. His research focuses on cardiac ion channel physiology, arrhythmia mechanisms, and translational therapies for heart failure and ischemic heart disease. He has contributed to advancements in gene therapy, cardiac imaging, and molecular mechanisms underlying heart function.
His work explores ion channel dysfunction in arrhythmias, mechanisms of myocardial stunning and hibernation, and the role of calcium signaling in cardiac pathophysiology. He has pioneered studies on sodium and calcium channel structure-function relationships, as well as therapeutic applications of stem cells and nanobiologics.
Recent articles highlight his contributions to cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging techniques for small animal models, drug safety monitoring during pandemics, and meta-analyses of cell-based therapies for myocardial infarction.
Marban's research spans basic science to clinical translation, addressing critical gaps in understanding heart disease mechanisms and developing innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
He has led collaborative studies involving multi-institutional teams and contributed to strategic research direction initiatives in cardiovascular science.
No awards or grants explicitly listed, though his extensive publication record reflects sustained research excellence.
