معرفی
Rosy Joshi-Mukherjee is an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy, Notre Dame of Maryland University. She holds a BSc in Horticulture from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, an MSc in Horticulture from GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, and a PhD in Pharmacology from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Her postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University focused on biomedical engineering and cardiology, where she investigated cardiac electrophysiology and stem cell biology under mentors Drs. Leslie Tung, David Yue, and Gordon Tomaselli.
Her research interests center on developing heart-on-a-chip models for drug toxicity studies and understanding the role of connexin43 in stem cell differentiation. Key contributions include creating multiwell microelectrode array platforms for cardiac action potential recordings and exploring arrhythmia mechanisms in Timothy Syndrome.
Dr. Joshi-Mukherjee has received awards including the 2019 Harvard Bioscience Travel Award and a T32 grant (2015-2016). She is a member of the AHA, Biophysical Society, ISSCR, and AACP. Her work bridges engineering, stem cell biology, and cardiology to advance translational cardiac research.
Publications span topics like drug-induced cardiotoxicity, calcium channel regulation, and cardiac cell culture. Her lab integrates in vitro models with molecular techniques to address unmet clinical needs in cardiac disease.
