Erez Aloni is an Associate Professor at the Allard School of Law, University of British Columbia. He holds an LL.M and S.J.D from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. His research focuses on legal regulation of adult relationships, wealth inequality, and family law structures. Aloni teaches contracts, family law, and law & sexuality courses, and has been recognized with the George Curtis Memorial Award (2021) and the Killam Faculty Research Fellowship (2023).

- Formerly taught at Whittier Law School (2013–2017)
- Visiting Professor at Radzyner Law School (2017) and Hebrew University of Jerusalem
Research Interests: Explores how laws shape family structures and economic outcomes, particularly for marginalized groups. Key areas include unmarried relationship regulation, marriage's role in wealth disparities, and LGBTQ+ legal issues. Recent work examines 'gay dad wealth gaps' and critiques incrementalism in same-sex marriage movements.
Grants & Labs: Co-editor of the Canadian Journal of Family Law since 2017. Active in the International Society of Family Law. Collaborates with the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies.
