معرفی
Eno Ebong is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Dominick P. Purpura Department of Neuroscience, Northeastern University. His research focuses on endothelial cell mechanotransduction and the role of the glycocalyx in vascular health/disease. He integrates chemical/biomedical engineering, molecular biology, and in vitro/in vivo experimentation to study cardiovascular function under mechanical stimuli. Key collaborations include vascular pathologists, oncologists, and neuroscientists.
Research Interests:
- Mechanobiology of endothelial glycocalyx
- Vascular dysfunction in atherosclerosis, cancer metastasis, and neurodegeneration
- Fluid-solid mechanical interactions in blood vessels
- Therapeutic targeting of glycocalyx mechanisms
- Nanoparticle delivery systems for vascular diseases
Articles trends highlight:
- Over 15 peer-reviewed publications since 2006
- Focus on glycocalyx structure/function, flow-regulated processes, and nanoparticle applications
- Cross-disciplinary engagement with oncology, neurology, and material science
Awards and Funding: NIH NHLBI, NSF CMMI, and industry partnerships have supported his work. His lab develops novel tools for vascular diagnostics/therapeutics.
Advising & Grants: Offers training in basic/clinical research. Active in securing federal and private grants for mechanobiology investigations. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to translate findings into clinical applications.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Ebong Mechanobiology Lab, which collaborates with experts across biomedical engineering, pathology, and neuroscience to advance vascular disease research.
