Dr. Emmy Lou Daugherty serves as a Professor in the Department of Journalism & Public Relations within the College of Liberal Arts at California State University, Long Beach, where she previously held leadership roles as department chair and public relations program head. Accredited by the Public Relations Society of America, she maintains active involvement in both academic and professional spheres.

- Ph.D. in Communications from Claremont Graduate University School of Educational Studies
