Alison Gaulden is a Lecturer at the Reynolds School of Journalism, University of Nevada, Reno, specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. She teaches courses in media ethics, crisis communication, and strategic campaigns, while mentoring students in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Nevada chapter. A certified Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) professional and PRSA Fellow, she has received multiple teaching and advising accolades, including the 2023 Nevada Christian Semenza Teaching Award.

Her research interests bridge practical and theoretical aspects of public relations, focusing on crisis communication, media ethics, and community engagement strategies. Alison has served as a citizen diplomat with the Northern Nevada International Center and chaired PRSA's Sierra Nevada chapter. Her work with Planned Parenthood Mar Monte included public affairs strategy across 40 counties, crisis management, and lobbying efforts.
