Emmanuel Metais

Emmanuel Metais is Dean of EDHEC Business School, appointed in 2017 after serving in progressive leadership roles since joining the faculty in 1995. His positions include Department Chair, Director of MSc Programmes, Director of EDHEC Global MBA, and Associate Dean of Grande Ecole and Masters Programmes. He led EDHEC's first AACSB Accreditation and holds external board memberships with AMBA & BGA International and the Conférence des Directeurs d'Ecoles Françaises de Management.

His research specializes in corporate strategy with dual emphases on:

• Disruptive innovation in competitive markets
• M&A performance optimization
• Strategic adaptation to geopolitical shifts (e.g., Brexit)
• Historical analysis of organizational decision-making

Recent publications show expanding interests in AI's business impact (2025) and sustainable finance leadership (2024).
