Emma Douglas is a Tutor in Law at Swansea University's Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, joining in January 2023. She holds a First Class Honours LL.B (2014) and a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course (2016) from Swansea University, alongside a PGCE from the University of South Wales (Distinction). Her academic focus includes Criminal Law, Criminology, Youth Justice, Human Rights, Equity & Trusts, and Land Law. She is preparing for a PhD in Youth Justice.
Emma has over three years' conveyancing experience with an international law firm and transitioned to academia, driven by a passion for education. She specializes in integrating digital technology into teaching,曾获 Microsoft's 'Innovative Education Expert' recognition for pandemic-era remote instruction. As a Digital Peer Mentor, she trained staff in effective online teaching methods.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes innovation and accessibility, reflected in her career highlights such as experimental use of digital tools and pandemic-era adaptability. She is actively involved in legal education reform and youth justice policy research.
