Professor Elizabeth Macdonald is an Emeritus Professor of Law at the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, part of Swansea University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her expertise focuses on contract law and e-commerce law, particularly issues related to e-contracting. She is a co-author of the widely used textbook Koffman & Macdonald's Law of Contract, now in its 8th edition. Her work addresses foundational principles of contract law, including formation, terms, breach, and remedies, with emphasis on modern legal challenges in digital transactions.
Prof. Macdonald's research explores intersections between traditional contract doctrines and evolving digital commercial practices. Her textbook covers key areas such as consideration, privity, exemption clauses, and statutory frameworks like the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and Consumer Contract Regulations.
