Edwin Peel is Professor of Law at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Law and Clarendon Harris Fellow in Law at Keble College. He maintains additional professional engagements as an arbitrator at One Essex Court. His academic work centers on the law of obligations, with particular expertise in Contract Law, International Trade, Conflict of Laws, and Tort Law. He is renowned for his stewardship of Treitel: The Law of Contract since its 12th edition and authorship of seminal texts including Frustration & Force Majeure and contributions to Halsbury's Laws of England.
