Boel Flodgren is Professor of Business Law at Lund University, where she directs the Lund University Centre for Business Law (ACLU). Her research examines contract law adaptation during crises, insurance claim disputes, and commercial agreements under Swedish and international law.
Flodgren has published extensively on contractual obligations during the COVID-19 pandemic, including business interruption insurance interpretation and force majeure applications. Her current work analyzes loyalty obligations in commercial contracts and adjustment mechanisms under Section 36 of the Contracts Act.
She has received multiple honors including honorary doctorates in Law (2011, 2003) and Economics (1999), and Lund University's Gold Medal (2003). Flodgren leads research projects on contract law transformation and damages in public procurement.
