Emily Skillings

Emily Skillings is a Lecturer in English at Yale University, with prior teaching roles at Columbia University, The New School, and NYU. She holds a B.A. from The New School and an M.F.A. from Columbia University School of the Arts. Her research interests include Feminist Poetry, the New York School, and Ecopoetics. Notable publications include her poetry collection Fort Not (2017) and works in Granta, Poetry, and Harper’s. She is a 2023 NYFA/NYSCA Fellow in Poetry and a member of the Belladonna* Collaborative, a feminist literary collective. Her creative and editorial work explores hybrid poetics and constraint-based writing.
