Dr. Emily Murray is an Honorary Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology & Public Health at University College London (UCL). Her work focuses on social epidemiology, particularly examining how residential environments across the life course influence health and well-being. She currently leads a UKRI-ESRC-funded project on coastal towns and young people’s life chances and is an Understanding Society Research Fellow investigating disparities in 'Levelling Up' efforts. Previously, she directed the Health Foundation-funded 'Health of Older People in Places' project.
