Emily Blankenship-Tucker is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Music and Theatre at Ferrum College, where she also directs the Appalachian Music program. As a multidisciplinary artist, she combines performance, music direction, composition, and technical theater expertise in both her academic and professional work.

Her career spans teaching music, theater, creative drama, and social dance while maintaining an active performance schedule. She leads Orchestra Appalachia, Ferrum College’s touring bluegrass ensemble, and performs nationally as a founding member of the 'hot-folk' trio After Jack. Her theatrical credits include director, music director, and choreographer roles for productions like Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, Twelfth Night, and Steel Magnolias.
