Lee B Bidgood is a scholar, performer, and educator specializing in bluegrass, old time, and country music studies. He holds a doctorate from the University of Virginia's Critical and Comparative Studies in Music program and currently teaches at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), leading the ETSU Mandolin Orchestra and courses such as Bluegrass History, Ethnomusicology in Appalachia, and Research Methods for Appalachian Studies.
