Elizabeth Houldsworth

Dr. Elizabeth Houldsworth is an Associate Professor of Management Education and Learning at Henley Business School, part of the University of Reading. She serves as Programme Director for the MSc International Human Resource Management and Academic Lead of the Advancing Business Education Research initiative. With 30 years of international experience in adult development and management education, her expertise spans management learning, career development, and human resource management theory. She is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, an Academic Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.

Her research focuses on post-experience management learners' personal and career development, with a particular emphasis on women's careers and MBA outcomes. Notable contributions include co-authoring the International Human Resource Management textbook (5th ed.) and publishing in journals such as Management Learning and International Business Review. Her work explores career capital theory, gender dynamics in executive education, and the impact of context on MBA graduates' trajectories.
