Elisabetta Scirocco is a researcher at the Bibliotheca Hertziana—Max Planck Institute for Art History, affiliated with the department directed by Prof. Tanja Michalsky since 2015. She holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Naples Federico II (2010) and has held academic positions at the Kunstgeschichtes Institut in Florence (2010–2015) and the University of Naples (2013–2014). Her research focuses on medieval and early modern art and architecture in Central and Southern Italy, with emphases on sacred spaces, funerary sculpture, and the impact of natural disasters on cultural heritage.
