Mariano Saggiomo is a Postdoctoral Fellow (Research Fellow) at the Michalsky Department, affiliated with the University of Naples Federico II. His research focuses on the intersection of sacred topography, urbanism, and art history, particularly examining lay patronage of places of worship in Naples.

His work explores the power dynamics of Naples’ nobility through sacred and civic space appropriation, with a focus on genealogical insights and artistic commissions.
