Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Naurath is a Professor of Evangelical Theology with a focus on Religious Education and Didactics of Religious Education at the University of Augsburg since 2013. She leads the Research and Coordination Center for Interreligious Education and founded the Peace Education Center for Interreligious Education (FripZiB). Her work emphasizes peace education, interreligious dialogue, and environmental ethics. She serves as Chair of Religions for Peace Germany and Vice-President of Religions for Peace Europe, advocating for religious contributions to global peace and sustainability.

- 1992 First Theological Examination (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria)
- 1999 Dissertation on 'Pastoral Care as Body Care'
- 2006 Habilitation in Practical Theology
Research Interests: Peace education, interreligious cooperation, gender studies, environmental theology, anti-discrimination education, and ethics of religious education. Her work bridges academic theology with societal engagement, particularly in fostering dialogue between diverse religious communities and addressing climate change through religious frameworks.
