Elena Nordio is a PhD researcher at the University of Galway, affiliated with the School of Languages, Literatures & Cultures within the College of Arts, Social Sciences, & Celtic Studies. Her research focuses on a sociolinguistic analysis of seventh-century Visigothic Latinity, addressing regional diversification and the legacy of Isidore of Seville. Her work contributes to methodologies for studying regional Latin varieties in the Early Middle Ages.
Supervised by Dr. Jacopo Bisagni, her research is funded by an Irish Research Council Postgraduate Scholarship (2018–2022). She can be contacted at e.nordio1@universityofgalway.ie.
